A number of websites offer useful links, toolkits, case studies, bibliographies etc. on the relationship between research, advocacy and policy and practice change.
The Research and Policy in Development (RAPID) programme at the Overseas Development Institute (ODI) in London is a primary source for these and, for example, offers several useful, practical guides and methodological tools relevant to designing 'policy-literate' research. It also hosts the "Evidence-based Policy in Development Network" (ebpdn). See www.odi.org.uk/RAPID.
The Global Development Network (GDN) is similarly concerned with how knowledge and research can links to policy development. This includes a global research project on "Promoting Innovative Programs from the Developing World: Towards Realizing the Health MDGs in Africa and Asia". The website also contains toolkits e.g. on research proposal writing and dissemination of research. See www.gdnet.org
DFID has its own portal - Research for Development (RAD) - to disseminate DFID-funded research. The website includes a database of research studies, case study materials, and development research organizations. See www.research4development.info
